KRC was established in 1978, having less that (100) barricades in inventory.  Originally known as Kaweah River Construction, the name was later changed to KRC after its founder Ken Ray Castro.  Ken “Chief” Castro passed away on January 13, 1985.  He is kept in memorandum by a memorial sticker placed on all our vehicles. 

Today KRC is owned and operated by Ken’s son Gary Castro and Ken’s wife Peggy Castro.  The company has over 40 people and continues to grow year after year.  Many of original employees are still with KRC and feel just like family. 

Our Company now offers many services including, Traffic Control, Construction Area Signs, Custom, Permanent and

Street Signs, Temporary Chain Link Fence Panels, Roadway Markers, Delineators, Traffic Control Plans, Message Boards, K-Rail, all types of Equipment Trucking, Generators, Light-Towers and many other services for rent and sale.

Even from our humble beginnings we still know our customers by name.

KRC Safety does planning in order to get an accurate and precise visual of the pending site and to help all construction crews and surveyors have a better understanding or of what the job will entail before they begin actual pre planning stages.

Pedestrian safety and vehicle safety is our main goal when it comes to protecting the community and those who work in traffic reconstruction and upgrading of highways and roads.

KRC has two kinds of K-Rail

K-Railing helps to divert traffic, separate motor vehicles in opposing traffic lanes, and help keep road construction crews and safety workers safe.

Cement K-rail is the most used and most popular K-Railing that we have, and is preferred by most companies doing road construction .

Water-Filled K-rail is easy to transport and is filled with water which can be filled and emptied many time over.

KR Safety Company, Inc. has the equipment, and will work around the clock when it comes to getting the job done and meeting the needs and demands of our clients and customers.

That's why we have a large fleet of S-979 floodlights which have a candle power of 1,000,000 illumination.

KRC Safety Company, Inc. sells and rents temporary chain link fencing to protect construction sites and safeguard the public. Silt and super silt fences comply with local environmental requirements.
